A Web Developer is sought to join this professional institute located in Charing Cross, London. The role requires a specialist in Sitecore and ASP.NET.

The main focus for the Web Developer role will be on the continued rollout of Sitecore as the company’s web platform. A key aspect of the role will be to mentor current developers in the transition to the Sitecore platform.

Title: Web Developer – Sitecore and ASP.NET
Location: Charing Cross, London
Salary: £35k – £40k per annum
Benefits: 25 days holiday, Pension
Info: Fixed Term Contract until December 2012

The Web Developer role will include the following responsibilities:
-To manage the rollout of the new Sitecore platform
-Assisting and advising developers in the deployment and use of online tools
-Working with other teams to integrate Back Office database systems and Front End user and management information systems

The ideal Web Developer will possess the following skills and attributes:
-A degree level qualification in a related discipline
-Sitecore developer certified
-Substantial experience in a Web Development environment
-Extensive Sitecore, ASP.NET, C#, ajax, SQL and Javascript skills
-Experience of integrating with third party solutions, databases and CRM systems eg Consensus
-The ability to train/mentor colleagues and facilitate knowledge transfer
-Be a creative thinker and problem solver
-The ability to communicate clearly and professionally to a non-technical audience

This is predominantly a Back Office trading support role in Futures IT centring on the global RANsys applications for the Futures back and Middle Office areas. This is a good position for someone who wants a mixture of business and technology working directly with both the business units, and other IT groups.

YOU MUST HAVE RANbase/RANweb/Eroute/IONWeb (Rolfe & Nolan Systems) and Front to Back knowledge Technical skills required:
*VMS/DCL knowledge
*RANsys, Rantask, Ranweb (Rolfe & Nolan systems)
*ClearVision (GL-Trade)
*SQL commands
*Good knowledge of MS-Windows Server and Desktop (2000/2003/2008/XP/Windows 7)
*Unix, preferably SUN/Solaris knowledge (Some Server Side components run on SUN-Solaris)
*Knowledge of relational databases – Sybase, Oracle and MSSQL Server
*Strong knowledge of Futures clearing and Back Office process.
*Familiarity with European and US Futures exchange requirements and processes.
*Prior experience working closely with back and Middle Office staff.
*Good all round programming skills including Java, VB, Excel Macros, MS Access, Business Objects
*Good all round database skills including SQL Server, SYBASE, MS Access, Oracle, building and writing SQL queries
*Good communication skills. Must be able to interact and work well with traders, Back Office personnel, vendors, futures business and other IT groups. There is a heavy emphasis on delivering projects/supporting systems globally so candidate must be able to exhibit capability to work on global projects as well as support.
*Must be analytical and have excellent troubleshooting skills
*Must understand the Principals of ITIL.
*Well versed in key tools – examples include JIRA, Confluence, RTC, SharePoint, Remedy/GSD
