The chosen Logistics Coordinator, Logistics Planner will be coordinating the end to end logistics process, from purchase order to delivery and installation (D&I) at the customer site. This is for a 12 month fixed term period.

Please see below for a breakdown of duties included in this position:
*To manage the UK stock of machines, including: weekly stock replenishment, cycle counting, annual stock take and regular stock alignments with the warehouses.
*Ensuring that all SAP movements (in and out) are completed accurately and timely, and SAP accurately reflects the physical stock in each warehouse.
*Follow up and actively chase ex-factory and despatch dates, shipping documentation and serial numbers, with the vendors.
*To manage slow moving goods and implement systems to reduce the level of these slow moving goods on inventory.
*To handle stock expectations.
*To manage returns, swap out machines and ensure SAP is updated accordingly.

Work Package Overview

In support of the additional requirements on the China Transfer Programme, additional Mechanical Engineering resource is being added to handle a range of identified issues arising from test rig differences, rig validation and the need to identify and quickly resolve production concerns, assembly, test and FAI at the site in China.
A secondary, but no less important, need is for administrative support across a range of activities to process change notes and other documentation, thereby reducing the load on critical resources and allowing them to concentrate on more important tasks. This work package is needed to support the product transfer timescales.

Specific activities
Support resolution of production issues arising from B787 product lines transfer to Suzhou
Investigate produce-ability issues/NCRs; raise appropriate PRCRs and work through to closure.
Updating of Process Specifications
Updating test procedures (ATPs) for B787 LRUs
Support and issue of Rig Validation Reports
Administrative activities in support of raising CNs, QFs, signature collections, compiling & scanning of documents

Requirements of the individual
Familiar with the clients products, procedures, processes & systems
Intimate knowledge of manufacturing, production processes and machines.
Good communication skills
Product knowledge and experience of hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuators and valves
Experienced in technical management and liaison with other Engineering sections required to meet product specifications and qualification requirements.
Task/achievement focussed
IT competence in MS Office applications and document handling

Work package details

B787 Rig Validation Reports for 7 rigs and one fixture.
15 Test Procedures (ATPs) updates.
10-15 Process Specifications (PSs)
Administrative support across range of activities, part time or full time, as required.

The Electronics Engineer will be required to implement and test a number of specific design modifications to a Xilinx Spartan-3AN FPGA to increase functionality.
The current design has been input as schematic entry but it is expected that these modifications will be accomplished using VHDL.
Some re-writing of schematic blocks into VHDL is expected in order to simplify inclusion of the design modifications.
Integration and lab testing of modifications will be performed on target hardware in conjunction with existing engineering team.

Familiarity with standard Xilinx tool chain essential.

High level requirements

1. Performing Billing and Shipping Functions for both Domestic & Export shipments from UK, Germany & USA
