A Training Administrator is needed for the development/maintenance of CONVEX (Connecticut Valley Electric Exchange) procedures, policies, instructions and guidlines required for the safe and reliable operation of the transmission system and development and implementation of the training programs.

Additionally the consultant will:

Plan, develop, schedule and present performance based initial and refresher training programs for CONVEX System Operations Supervisors and Transmission Coordinators using a Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) Process.
Coordinate with ISO-NE, member companies and neighboring systems in the preparation of instructions for operation of interconnecting facilities.
Review revisions to NERC, NPCC, NEPOOL and ISO-NE requirements to determine required changes to System Operations Supervisor training program materials and CONVEX Operating Instructions.
Monitor new installations and upgrades of transmission system facilities and coordinate the development/revision of CONVEX Operating Instructions.
Perform event investigations, root cause analysis, development and revisions of special operating procedures/instructions; assist in the preparation of special reports related to system disturbances or unusual system conditions.
Serve in the Operational Support Center during significant transmission events, assisting in system restoration.
Provide comprehensive and effective training of CONVEX System Operations Supervisors and field personnel.
Correct, comprehensive and uniform instructions and procedures applicable to the operation of CONVEX transmission and generation facilities consistent with NERC, NPCC, NEPOOL and ISO-NE Procedures, Policies, Criteria, Rules and Standards, etc

Qualifications:

Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology
Eight years experience in a Transmission Control Center environment
NERC Transmission Operator certification is desired
Familiar with AREVA EMS 2.5 DTS (Simulator Software) or similar simulator systems

These consultants will be responsible for documenting equipment and cable installations, providing technical expertise for all technology disciplines, and supporting the Deployment Engineer for all changes. These positions spans all technology disciplines, including DATA/VOICE/IP Services products like DNS, DHCP, NTP, AAA, Proxy, Websense, VPN (SSL/IPSEC), F5, Blue Coat, NetApp, WAO, Bind, Cisco, Foundry, Juniper, CNR, UNIX, Linux, Microsoft technologies, Mobility (ie, BlackBerry, Remote Access VPN – PPTP, SSL VPN), Load Balancers, Storage and Transport. Responsibilities include:

Ensuring accuracy of network deployment activities by monitoring work performed by any third party vendors.

Participating in Network assessments as part of Network planning and capacity management processes

Qualifications:

Ability to read and understand cabling design and other technology design documents — data cabling expertise required.
Data, voice, IP Services expertise required.
Expertise desired with Microsoft and Mobility technologies.
Experience in the financial services field.
